After adopting my own rescue cat, Stryker, seven years ago, I wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to the Cat Adoption Foundation.

How Your Home Loan Supports the Cat Adoption Foundation

At Purrfect Home Loans, we believe a great home loan can do more than help you find your perfect home — it can also help cats find theirs.
When your home loan settles, the lender pays us a commission for arranging the loan. We may also receive an ongoing payment known as a trail commission for as long as your loan remains active.
These commissions allow us to operate our business and continue supporting our clients throughout the life of their loan.
How Much Do We Donate?
We are committed to donating a meaningful portion of the income generated from your loan to the Cat Adoption Foundation.
🏡 When Your Loan Settles
We donate 30% of the upfront commission we receive from the lender.
🐱 Every Month After Settlement
We donate 50% of the trail commission we receive from the lender.
This means your home loan can continue supporting cats in need long after settlement day.
Transparency Matters
We believe in being completely transparent about how mortgage broker commissions work.
The upfront and trail commissions applicable to your loan are disclosed in the documentation we provide before you decide whether to proceed.
Importantly, these donations are made from the income received by Purrfect Home Loans. They do not increase your interest rate, fees, or any other loan costs.
Your Privacy Is Protected
Protecting your privacy is extremely important to us.
The Cat Adoption Foundation does not receive your:
- Name
- Contact details
- Loan information
- Commission details relating to your individual loan
Your personal information continues to be handled in accordance with our privacy obligations, including the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
While the Cat Adoption Foundation knows that Purrfect Home Loans makes donations, they do not know which customer generated a particular donation or the amount generated by any individual loan.
Want to Let Them Know?
Although we do not share your details with the Cat Adoption Foundation, some clients may wish to personally let them know their home loan helped support the cause.
If you'd like to do so, you can contact the Cat Adoption Foundation directly and say:
“A donation made by Purrfect Home Loans to the Cat Adoption Foundation was made with the support of my home loan.”
You may also choose to share the amount you understand was donated as a result of your support.
If you provide permission, the Cat Adoption Foundation may acknowledge your contribution in newsletters or other communications, subject to their own policies.
